14 Segment Display Coloring
Design your own segment display with this Web App. Choose between 7, 14 or 16 segments, experiment with the settings for the geometry, colors and output formats. The colors set for segments switched on or off are deployed automatically as hexadecimal color specification in the source code located further below on this page.
Use an Arduino to Send Characters to the 14-Segment Display Once you've connected the power and I2C lines between the Arduino and the HT16K33 breakout module, it's time to write an Arduino program that transmits data to the HT16K33, which then takes care of displaying the information on the four 14-segment LED displays.
The MAX6954 is a versatile display driver, capable of controlling a mix of discrete, 7-segment, 14-segment, and 16-segment LED displays through a serial interface. This application note shows a typical application and configuration for driving eight mono-color, 14-segment LEDs.
The 14 Segment Display has fourteen inputs on the back which can be activated individually to light up the corresponding segment, with a brightness ranging from a signal of 0 unlit to 10 maximum brightness. There are also two extra inputs on the bottom which accept larger signals. The input to the side changes the color of the display.

Update Apr 14, 2019 The kit for this shield can be ordered here. There are many ways to drive the 6-digit 14-segment common cathode display from Seeed Studio. This time I chose to multiplex two MAX7221, a method described here but used for driving a bi-color 8x8 LED matrix.

One such device is the 14 segment LED display. At first glance I was confused by the number of pins on the back of the display, this is a two digit display with only 17 pins numbered 1 through 18. This is 0.5422 14 segment common cathode LED and the color is yellowamphellip.pdf. Download. 14 Segment LEDS.pdf. Download. 14 segment with
Well I could do without the dot, which makes each segment lose a pin. I was going to display a 2-digit number then a track title. I could do with just ten displays for the title and have longer titles scroll. This totals to 12 displays with 14 pins each, so 168 pins total. That'll take 21 8-bit registers, 11 16-bit registers, and 7 24 bit
