Medium Scale Maps are maps of scales that are larger than 11,000,000 but smaller than 175,000. In the military, these maps are used for operational planning. The standard medium scale map is 1250,000. Large Scale Maps are larger than 175,000. The standard large scale military map is 150,000, but 124,000 or 125,000 are popular as well.
