Capul Recreation Park
Capul Recreational Park Capul Recreational Park is located on highway US 41 next to the Baraga Marina on the walking trail. This park is in honor of the late Ben and Hedy Capul. Ben worked for the Jacobson family for over 45 years managing forest operations. Hedy worked for the Baraga Area Schools as a nurse for over 30 years.

Baraga State Park is a public recreation area covering 56 acres 23 ha on the shore of Lake Superior's Keweenaw Bay in Baraga County, Michigan. The state park sits along Route 41 on the south side of the village of Baraga. The park, village, and county bear the name of Bishop Frederic Baraga. 1

Baraga State Park is set along Lake Superior's scenic Keweenaw Bay, and makes for a great base camp for those touring the western Upper Peninsula. Also note that the park connects to Twin Lakes and Bewabic state parks and Bond Falls Scenic Site via several motorized routes. This area is well-known for hiking, kayaking, camping and offroading opportunities.
Baraga State Park. Baraga State Park is located next to scenic Keweenaw Bay of Lake Superior. Baraga State Park is situated a quarter mile south of Baraga along US-41. Camping is available at 115 grassy sites or in the park's minicabin or tepee. The park now includes five pull through campsites and 20 and 30 amp electrical service.
The land for the recreation area was previously owned by the Jacobson Family and was the sawmill site at one time.
The Village of Baraga held two ribbon cuttings Monday afternoon, one for the village's Capul Recreational Park, and another for the second phase of the Keweenaw Bay Non-Motorized Pathway.
