What is college-level math? Entry-level math in college is considered the stepping stone to more advanced math. Algebra 1, trigonometry, geometry, and calculus 1 are the basic math classes. Once you have successfully navigated through these courses, you can trail blazed through more advanced courses.
Hi! College math courses usually go beyond the level of high school classes and offer a wider variety of topics. While high school courses typically consist of Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus, college math classes can be more diverse, range from beginner to advanced levels, and branch out into various sub-disciplines.

Prerequisite high level of performance in MATH 2210, MATH 2230, MATH 2310, MATH 2940, or equivalent. Strong proficiency in writing proofs is expected. More experience with proofs may be gained by first taking a 3000-level MATH course. MATH 4330-MATH 4340 is recommended for undergraduates who plan to attend graduate school in mathematics.
