How to Create New Cell Styles in Excel. Excel provides the flexibility for users to create custom cell styles. Steps Go to the Home tab. Select Cell Styles from the Style group. Choose New Cell Style. In the Style window, give the style a name, such as Custom Style 1, and choose its elements, such as number format, font, and borders. Click the Format option to customize its elements.
On the Home tab, in the Styles group, click the More dropdown arrow in the style gallery, and at the bottom of the gallery, click New Cell Style. In the Style name box, type an appropriate name for the new cell style. Click Format. On the various tabs in the Format Cells dialog box, select the formatting that you want, and then click OK.
If you want to create your own cell style in Excel from scratch, click New Cell Style from the Cell Styles dropdown. This will open up the Style dialog box, where you can overwrite the name in the Style name field to save your custom style with a name you like. Excel uses the format of the active cell as a starting point for your new cell style.
To set up Excel so it automatically opens a new workbook that uses Book.xltx Click File gt Options. On the General tab, under Start up options, clear the Show the Start screen when this application starts checkbox. The next time you start Excel, it opens a workbook that uses Book.xltx.

6.2 Change Font Style. Press and hold the Ctrl key while selecting the title range and column headers range i.e. range B2G2 and B4G4. Click the Bold command button.
