Hall Effect Sensor Flow Meter Arduino

Introduction. If you remember the Arduino WaterFlow Sensor Tutorial we implemented earlier, the main component of the Water Flow Sensor is the Hall Effect IC.. A Hall Effect Sensor works on the principle of, well, Hall Effect. Simply speaking, a Hall Effect Sensor or IC detects motion, position or change in magnetic field strength of either a permanent magnet, an electromagnet or any

Arduino measure the number of pulses and then calculate the flow rate in Lhr using a simple conversion formula. The sensor comes with three wires red 5-24VDC power, black ground and yellow Hall effect pulse output. Water Flow Measurement Circuit. Use only interrupt pin 2 for sensor connections. The YF-S201 Hall effect water flow sensor for arduino simplifies water flow measurement with its three-wire configuration. The sensor's wires include red for power 5-24VDC, black for ground, and yellow for Hall effect pulse output. By accurately counting the pulses from the sensor's output, you can easily determine the water flow rate.

Hi there, I'm new on Arduino and I have no good background in programming. I'm using hall-effect sensor to measure the flow rate of water flow and display it on a 2 line 16-character LCD. On display I need to see flow rate, litres and time. Please help, I attached the Program I tried below..It was succesfully compiled but it didn't show anything.

YF-S201 is a plastic body water flow sensor that has a valve, rotor, and a Hall effect sensor. They work on the Hall effect principle and output the volume and flow rate in the form of pulses on the signal pin. It has only three wires i.e. two supply wires and an output pulse wire. Wire Configuration

Working Principle Hall Effect Sensors consist basically of a thin piece of rectangular p-type semiconductor material such as gallium arsenide GaAs, indium antimonide InSb or indium arsenide InAs passing a continuous current through itself. When the device is placed within a magnetic field, the magnetic flux lines exert a force on the semiconductor material which deflects the charge

The water flow sensor consists of a plastic valve body, a water rotor and a hall-effect sensor. When the water flows through the rotor, rotor rolls and the speed of it changes with a different rate of flow. The hall-effect sensor outputs the corresponding pulse signal. This type of sensor can be found on different diameters, water pressure MPa

We will interface the water flow sensor with Arduino and LCD, and program it to display the volume of water, which has passed through the valve. For this particular project, we are going to use the YF-S201 water flow sensor, which uses a hall effect to sense the flow rate of the liquid. Components Required. Water Flow Sensor Arduino UNO LCD

The main components are the Hall Effect sensor, turbine wheel, and magnet. The water flows in through the inlet and out through the outlet. The water current drove the wheel to turn, and the magnet on the wheel turned with it. Tags Arduino, Water flow meter, Water flow sensor, YF-S201, YF-S402. Continue Reading.

How Does the Flow Rate Sensor Work? The Arduino flow meter works on the principle of the Hall effect. According to the Hall effect, a voltage difference is induced in a conductor transverse to the electric current and the magnetic field perpendicular to it. Here, the Hall effect is utilized in the flow meter using a small fanpropeller-shaped
