Ju Ming Exchange Square
Right Heel Kick 1991 by the Taiwanese artist, Ju Ming is a part of a whole Tai Chi series, two of which are in Exchange Square and stand alongside each other. This is the smaller of the two. Ju Ming began working as a woodcarver and you can see this in his work. The large bronze blocks have the look and the texture of roughly hewn blocks of wood.

Ju Ming Chinese pinyin Zh Mng 20 January 1938 - 22 April 2023 was a Taiwanese sculptor who attained fame in his native country in the 1970s, and then in New York City in 1983. Ju Ming was trained as a woodcarver, and apprenticed to Lee Chinchuan as a teenager. He developed his skill and applied it to a range of media, including bronze, styrofoam, ceramics, and stainless steel.
