Lego Command Module

Columbia was the name given to the command module of Apollo 11. Strapped atop a Saturn V rocket, Apollo 11 made history as the first crewed lunar landing mission. Columbia was one of three sections of the Apollo spacecraft, including the Service Modulewhich housed the propulsion systemsand the Lunar Modulenicknamed Eagle.

This Apollo CSM models the complete Apollo Spacecraft when it is paired with the Lego Lunar Lander Set 10266. Our objective was to make the CSM dimensionally correct and the same scale as the Lander. Command Module 1 Openable crew hatch with internal hatch mechanism and exterior handle. 2 Five transparent windows 3 Seats for 3 minifigures

Just finished assembling the Apollo Command and Service modules. Plans for the Command Module are from Joe Domb while the Service Module plan is from the modified Hachiroku design by Robert Overy. Thanks to both of you, this was a fun build. The Command Module has tons of details. A bit hard to photograph once assembled.

actually Lunar and Command Module Mould King 21006 MOC taken from Freakcube This is my biggest build ever at 7,106 pieces Off to a great start! There's only a teeny bit of stickers. Stickers are usually a chore but there are so few of them in this set. Essentially 3 American flags. Compare that to the size of the box!
