Microsoft Date Selection
This date picker is a browser-based feature developed by Microsoft. If you would rather use a native Date Picker add-in in the Excel desktop application, it is available in the 32-bit version of Excel DevelopergtInsertgtMore ControlsgtMicrosoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0.
Select a date in another Decade. If you want to select a date long time ago, you can display the Date Picker of Excel by decade. Go to the cell where you want to add a date Double-click Click on the year to display all the months for this year Click one more time on the year to display the decade Use the arrows to select the year you want
Microsoft's Date Picker control is only available in 32-bit versions of Excel 2016, Excel 2013, and Excel 2010, but it won't work on Excel 64-bit or on later versions. For other versions of Excel, use a third-party add-in. Select Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 SP6 from the More Controls dialog box. Click on OK.
In the Data type box, click Date and Time dateTime. Click Format. In the Date and Time Format dialog box, in the Display the time like this list, click the option that you want, and then click OK. In the Date Picker Properties dialog box, under Default Value, click Insert Formula. In the Insert Formula dialog box, click Insert Function.
Step 4 Select Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 SP6 The More Controls dialog box will open. Select Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 SP6. Click on the OK button. You'll now see that the date picker has been inserted into your spreadsheet. Step 5 Format the object. Right-click on the date-picker, a new menu will open.
To successfully insert the drop-down calendar, select the Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 SP6 from the quotmore controlsquot box. Now, select More Controls from here and scroll down until we find Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control. Next, click on it and draw a rectangle on our worksheet where we want the date picker to appear
In the Excel Options window, select quotCustomize Ribbonquot and check the quotDeveloperquot box. Click quotOK.quot Step 2 Insert an ActiveX Control. Next, add the date picker ActiveX control to your worksheet. Go to the quotDeveloperquot tab and click quotInsert.quot Under ActiveX Controls, select quotMore Controls.quot Scroll down to select quotMicrosoft Date and Time Picker
Step 2 Select Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 SP6 from the list and click OK. Step 3 To create the drop-down calendar in Excel, click any location on the worksheet. Step 4 Right-click on the date picker control and click Properties from the popup menu.
