Microsoft Word View
Microsoft Word provides several ways to view a document you're working on. Each is suitable for different aspects of working with a document, and some are better suited for multi-page documents than single pages. If you've always worked in the default view, you may find other views that make you more productive.

Step 1 Open Microsoft Word. Open Microsoft Word on your computer to get started. This might seem obvious, but make sure you're opening a blank document or an existing one where you can access the 'View' tab. Web Layout View. Use web layout view to view the document as it would look like as a web page. In this view you can see the background, text is wrapped to fit the window, and images appear as they would online. Outline View.
