Monthly Liturgical Calendar
Each year the Secretariat of Divine Worship of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops publishes the Liturgical Calendar for the Dioceses of the United States of America.This calendar is primarily used by authors of ordines and other liturgical aids published to foster the celebration of the liturgy in our country, but may also be used by anyone who downloads a copy.
Liturgical Calendars In order to unfold fruitfully the meaning of the Paschal Mystery, the Roman Church orders the celebration of the liturgical year according to the General Roman Calendar. This calendar includes the entire cycle of celebrations of the mystery of salvation and celebrations of Saints who have universal significance.
The liturgical color appropriate for the day is indicated, when the color is green, red or purple, by the color of the numeral against a light grey background. When the liturgical color is white, the numeral is black against a white background.
