Organization File Half Page Open

Hi all, My IT team and I have spoken with several users having an issue with the Teams desktop app. I spoke with a user who would try to open up an Excel workbook from their office's team's file directory and the Excel screen would only occupy 60 of the screen, as what looks like the middle pane you would normally see in the Teams menu would show up on the left side completely blank.
