Virtual Labs All students and faculty at all Penn State locations, including World Campus, have access to WebLabs, a full cloud-based desktop computer lab environment.

The Engineering IT group provides all aspects of technological support and services to students, faculty and staff in the College of Engineering at Penn State.

The first iteration of the Penn State Go Desktop will focus on World Campus students, allowing access to key links to Penn State resources and services on the web.

At this point you can use your Remote Desktop Connection software to connect to your office computer. See the Remote Desktop Setup Guide below. Disconnecting When you are done using the remote desktop connection and you have logged off of your work computer, you will need to disconnect from the VPN.

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure VDI What Is It? Virtual Desktop Infrastructure VDI is a virtualization technique enabling access to a virtualized desktop. These virtual desktops are provided as a remote service over the internet. This allows access to specialized software without the need to travel to a computer lab.

This is a virtualized Penn State computer lab environment that allows you access to Penn State amp Smeal licensed software from anywhere. These environments can be launched from a web browser or the WorkSpace One Horizons local client.

Electrical Engineering IT Resources Virtual Desktop Infrastructure VDI Electrical Engineering is now offering a VDI environment to EE undergraduate students at University Park. VDI allows you access all software available in our teaching labs remotely from your apartment or dorm room, using your own PC.
