Standalone Arduino Cnc Controller
The GRBL Standard Current Maker Shield system uses an Arduino Uno compatible board with an 8bit processor. The Maker Shield is installed onto the Uno. The Maker Shield is an upgrade to the CNC Shield and has 4 embedded DRV8825 drivers. Unlike a traditional CNC Shield the upgraded Maker Shield is compatible with the latest version of GRBL and has larger tracks on the board to allow for higher
From the diagram we can see where the GRBL take place in the quotbig picturequot of the working principle of a CNC machine. It's a firmware that we need to install or upload to the Arduino so it can control the stepper motors of the CNC machine. In other words, the function of the GRBL firmware is to translate the G-code into motor movement.. Required Hardware

An offline CNC controller is a device or system used for controlling CNC Computer Numerical Control machines without the need for a continuous connection to a computer or external control source. It is a standalone unit capable of processing and executing CNC programs independently.
3 Axis Arduino Based CNC Controller I've been playing with different CNC designs and Stepper controllers for many years now. I started building CNC machines long ago. My first inspiration came from Bruce Shapiro's eggbot. I tried a few variations of it and even the board from evil mad

Hi Kim, ah that sounds frustrating. IF I understand your question correctly, you are having trouble connecting your Arduino to the Arduino IDE on your PC to load GRBL onto the Arduino. The CamTool CNC V3.3 looks like an Arduino Uno clone. I would try selecting Arduino Uno as the board type in the Arduino IDE.
