The subtle flashing eventually stops, and you will see a slightly red backplate and red pill under the app icon continuing to note a background activity needs your attention.
But in many cases, the taskbar symbol of the window I had opened before gets a red background and can't be opened by clicking on it. Only by minimizing the recently opened window, I can get back to it and the red taskbar icon background disappears. Does anybody else has the same issue and a solution?
The mysterious icon is circled in red and I edited the picture a bit to give it more brightness because the icon itself is colored very dark low contrast with the taskbar yet still noticeable when it appears.

Normally on an hp laptop apps in your taskbar appear have what looks like a small blue line when they are open. Starting this morning, my icon for google chrome has a dark red background around it even when off, and has a red line instead of blue when open? Does anyone know what this means?
