Teutonic Order Map
The Teutonic Order is a Catholic religious institution founded as a military society c. 1190 in Acre, Kingdom of Jerusalem. Map of the Teutonic state in 1410. In 1337, Emperor Louis IV allegedly granted the Order the imperial privilege to conquer all Lithuania and Russia.

The Ordensland was a theocracy ruled by the Teutonic Order, which covered the regions of present-day Poland, Lithuania, Russia Kaliningrad oblast, Latvia, and Estonia.
