Unc Old Well Spring

In 1900, a pump was installed at the well, which was replaced by a drinking fountain in 1925. When the current Old Well structure was installed in 1954, benches, brick walks, planting beds and ornamental trees were also added to the area. In 2019, UNC's Facilities Services closed the Old Well off with caution tape and barriers while working to strengthen the integrity.
