Unplugged Computer
Usually, the fans will spin up, but it won't POST. Our solution is to pull the power cord, press the power button with the computer unplugged, then plug it in and turn it on. It seems more common with Gateway brand PCs than the Dells or HPs that we have around. Does anybody know what pressing the power button does when the computer is unplugged?

Theoretically, a computer doesn't need to be unplugged. However, there are some advantages to doing so from time to time. The biggest advantage is that it reduces wear and tear on the components, which could extend the life of your computer. This is especially true for external drives and peripherals such as printers and scanners.
Hello, my computer typically runs on windows 10 but after I unplugged it while it was shutting down by accident it now only boots in windows 7. When I first booted it up I saw that it was checking files looking for corruption, but I didn't pay close attention to this process.
Using your computer's power button improperly or pulling the plug can lead to serious data loss. I'll look at the right way to turn your computer off. a computer, modem and router. The devices were unplugged from power but were still plugged into the router or tv cable. Now I unplug all devices from power AND unplug from provider cables

The same cases happen before, but after a series of unplugged and plug, it turn on and back to normal. But this time is different, it seems i can't use this method anymore. My psu seems ok because the light on the motherboard lights up yellow, my power button also seems ok try to jumper it with a flathead screwdriver but still wont turn on.
See if you get something from the computer. If so, one at a time, start adding the components back in. I would add the RAM first one stick at a time, then the hard drive, then the graphics card. If you add something that causes the computer to not boot, then you found the point of failure.
