The Bravo Charlie Initiative is just our way to do a Buddy Check on the class of 99. It is a grassroots effort to help the West Point Class of '99 stay connected, supported, and informedno matter where life has taken us. West Point Class of 2027 Crest Unveiling. March 28, 2024 50-Year Affiliation Program, Cadet News, Events amp Awards, Grad News. The Plebe Parent Weekend Banquet for the Class of 2027 was a memorable event, marked by the unveiling of their class crest by the Class Ring and Crest Committee Chairman, CDT Trieste Perciavalle '27.

As far as records show, the U.S. Military Academy was the first school to use rings as a class symbol the first class to receive rings was the Class of 1835. Until 1869, ring designs were chosen informally, but that year an organized meeting was held for deciding on the class ring. Thus began the Ring and Crest Committee, the members of which are chosen by each class during Cadet Basic Training.

The West Point rings tradition began with the Class of 1835 and was the first school in the country to use rings as a class symbol. Interestingly, all classes since that time have chosen to have a ring as their class symbol except for the classes of 1836 and 1879 which chose cuff links. Until 1969 the style of the rings was selected informally.

During the fall of their plebe year a class crest will be designed to represent that class throughout their time at the Academy.
