Campus Recreation maintains several facilities around campus to help students stay active. In addition to the Rams Head Recreation Center and the Student Recreation Center, there are pools, a number of outdoor courts and fields for individual and team intramural sports.
Aquatics - UNC's Aquatics program is home to both an indoor and an outdoor pool, with lanes ranging from 25 yards to 50 meters. The program also offers swim lessons year round for swimmers of all levels and ages in addition to health and safety courses, such as lifeguarding and SCUBA.
