West Point New Cadet

More than 1,250 new cadets streamed through the gates of West Point on June 26 for Reception Day to begin their 47-month journey to become members of the Long Gray Line and strive toward becoming commissioned officers. For them to reach that goal, the new cadets are led by 277 cadet cadre from the Classes of 2024 and 2025.

The West Point Association of Graduates and the 50-Year Affiliate Class of 1978 were present throughout the day to welcome the new cadets and their families into the West Point family. New cadets will now complete six weeks of Cadet Basic Training, learning the basic skills of the soldier.
