Wednesday 16th September and we visited Portland Bill where this landmark is located on the Southern tip. It was created in 1870s by quarrymen as a quarrying landmark and relic. It represents an open bible leaning on a pulpit, hence the name. It's position along the rugged coastline is a great photo opportunity and a popular attraction.
